The dry-cutting technique allows your stylist to design a customized look based on your specific type of curl, and your lifestyle preferences. By cutting hair in its dry natural state, and slicing into the interior reduces frizz and allows curly hair to take it best shape.

Our stylist will educate you how to cleanse, hydrate, and style your hair. With the right technique and products, you will be able to replicate this at home. Before all of that magic happens, it’s important to know what to do before heading to the salon. Here’s how to get ready for your appointment:

Curly Cut Preparation

Your stylist will cut your curly hair while it’s dry, and in its natural state. Arrive at the salon with your hair down, recently washed within the last couple day, and with minimum styling product. If you’re currently using products with sulfates, silicones or heavy oils, do your best to avoid them for one to two weeks before your booking. A curly cut will not make your natural hair curlier, but it will enhance the shape of the waves.
